I was talking to Uncle Sunny when i saw someone familiar walking in the mail room.
Me: Shit..
ZD: I thought you are at Sunshine?
Me: ya lah. Sunshine loh. I'm talking to Uncle Sunny. Sunshine.
ZD: -.-" right. You bluff me ah!
Me: Eh! Dun have! Correct what!
So anyway, ZD went back to work and i sat there chatting with Mother Hanum, Uncle Sunny and one of the AD. (Let's just call him AD)
casually... i picked a topic that all of you are familiar with...
Me: Eh, AD, i ask you ah.. why does men look at women?
AD: wah! What kinda question is this? Ok ok.
Mother Hanum: Alamak. AD going to say stuffs about nature. tsk tsk
AD: ok. see ah. Nature give men a pair of eyes. And what are the eyes for? It is to appreciate finer things in life. The main thing is to, appreciate. Therefore, we appreciate women. Looking is appreciating. Nothing more to it than that.
Me: Ok, which part of women is the finer things in life then?
AD: Wah! You post trick question ah? very smart hor?
Me: *grins*
AD: Ok... different people have different point of views. For example, some look at the face. Some look at the legs. Some look at the chest. Some look at the bums. Depends on individual.
Me: really? ohh... what is so FINE about the chest and bums then?
AD: -.-" this girl ah... ok. men are curious. They like to look at things which they do not have. and naturally, men, we don't have breasts, right? So some of them, will appreciate the chest.
Me: Ok.. so women do not have that special part that men possess.. why don't we look then?
AD: eh! Women look at men ok! But just that women just glance and all, but men really appreciates.
Me: Yes, we women glance because we do not wish for the men to get the wrong idea! But seems like men don't mind that people think of them as perverts. In any case, what if, the case is that you are with your gf/wife?
AD: Look lah! With them then cannot look meh? I don't have such problems with my wife leh.
Mother Hanum: Eh! you know why anot! Because, your wife have self confidence and everything. She knows you look but you'll still come back. But for us is different you know. We feel insecure when our bf/husbands look. What if let say, the woman you look, coincidently, is prettier than us, better figure than us, we'd feel demoralize you know!
Me: Yes, precisely! And you know what? It is a form of RESPECT that you don't look at other women when you are with your gf/wife you know? If you look at other women while you are with your wife/gf, you are not respecting her because you are indirectly showing her that you are more interested in other women who just happen to walk pass than her.
AD: Yes. what you say is true. It is a form of respect. well said.
Me: What is even worse is that your eyes follow the woman as she walk pass.
AD: No lah! Don't look until like that lah! alamak! That one too much already!
Me: Well.. some guys are perverts.
Mother Hanum: And you know, eh, AD, for example ah, ah ger (me) and I go out. we are friends lah. We go out.. and you as a man, look at us while you are with your gf. you know what we' say anot? We will say, "Eh, have gf already still look at us... tsk tsk."
AD: huh! really ah!
Me: TRUE! VERY TRUE! I agree! Even if i'm not with my friend, a guy with his gf just walk pass me and the guy look at me, i just feel disgusted and i seriously pity the girl.
AD: what if i'm alone leh?
Me: We'd assume you are single but then again, guys with ample self confidence don't go staring at girls. you just glance, and THAT'S IT. why must keep looking?! can't you look at girls the same way as you look at guys?
AD: Ok lah. but i think that what you said is true. A form of respect. I learn something new.
Me: And i don't even know what is SO good about looking at girls when firstly, people would view you at tiko pek A.K.A Desperates and secondly, your gf/wife feels inferior of herself. what's so good about it? If you tell me you can't control, it's bullshit. the pair of eyes is yours, if you can't control, who can? What is so hard to pay attention to the one beside you and don't look lah! You think we females don't look at guys? You are wrong. We do. But we never do it in front of our bf/husband you know. If you men want trust, fine, give us something to trust. If not, don't demand trust and security.
Mother hanum: true true. very true. You know ah, AD, I'd feel that if my husband look at other females and he knows i don't like it, he is jeopardizing our relationship for the sake of other women. not good you know.
Me: And i seriously don't understand why men must fantasize. Especially men with gf/wife. men don't feel guilty meh? I mean, women.. we.. we do fantasize like what if this guy is our bf and everything. But at the beginning of the fantasy, we stopped everything because for me lah, I'd feel guilty because I have my bf, why should i fantasize? the only thing i fantasize now is my first date with ZD, end of story. I don't go fantasizing about other guys anymore. And, pls, even if it's in the past, the guys i fantasize about have their clothes on, not like men who fantasize... you men, have the real gf/wife beside you, WHY GO FANTASIZE?! I don't get it!
AD: hahaha! True...
Me: And i can tell you, even if i'm out wif my friends, i do look around and sometimes, i saw hunks and really good looking guys... I'd look, yes. But not so obvious lah...but what my mind thinks is that, "Ok, he is good looking.. but that doesn't mean he has a good personality. I bet ZD is better than him." End of story. better than you guys, who go to fantasize. goodness.
Mother Hanum: TRUE! Agreed!
So as you can see, the conversation was for me to relief stress. No, i'm not saying that i'm talking about ZD but it's just some experiences i have and read about.
